Laser therapy is non-painful. Animals will experience a gentle warming sensation. The length of treatment depends on that pet's condition. While some pets will experience relief after a single session, therapy is cumulative so we recommend committing to a series of treatments in order to fully evaluate your pet's response to treatment.
Laser therapy uses light energy called photons to increase the production of ATP within cells in damaged tissues. ATP is what cells use as fuel for repair so cells that are injured or damaged have decreased levels of ATP. Laser therapy has been indicated in the following conditions:
Degenerative joint and disc disease
Dermatologic disorders (eg, hot spots, lick granulomas)
Soft tissue injuries (eg, sprains, strains)
